The purpose of CAVORT is to strengthen and recognize theater volunteer organizations, and to establish a network for the exchange of
ideas, projects and fundraising activities vital for the support of
professional, not-for-profit theatres.
At each CAVORT conference, member volunteer organizations are invited to submit a "Bright Idea", which might help other theatre volunteers.
For 40 years CAVORT has been the only organization in North America dedicated to supporting volunteers, and the staff they work with, at professional, non-profit theatres.
